Nomi Health taps CMO, lands Series A funding round (Score 69)

At the end of 2021, Anthony Modano joined Nomi Health as its first-ever CMO. Modano joined from CVS Health, where he served as the head of consumer innovation marketing and transformation marketing for the company's Apple partnership and virtual care business. He will have a fresh take for Nomi's marketing strategy, so keep the company on your radar.

Additional recent additions include integrated marketing operations director Nicole Bazzinotti and brand strategy and insights director Lanna Tokuhiro; both joined Nomi in January 2022.

Nomi made these hires around the same time it raised $110m in Series A funding round in December 2021, as Crunchbase reports.

According to Pathmatics, Nomi made its first foray into digital ads in 2021, when around $159k earned around 20.9m digital impressions via Facebook (87%), desktop display (12%) and mobile display (2%) ads.

Nomi's spend probably won't slow down anytime soon considering it now has a new top marketer and a larger budget. The rise in its digital spend, along with its reliance on Facebook advertising, lead me to believe it's primarily targeting Gen-Z and millennials. Sellers able to offer relevant ad space should contact soon to do so.
