Athletic Opps: WRKOUT taps first CMO shortly after launch (Score 77)

WRKOUT appointed Erika Weiss as its first CMO earlier in September. Weiss joined from Euka Wellness, where she was the head of marketing. WRKOUT only recently launched and is clearly focused on marketing, so sellers should get in touch to see what plans Weiss has. The hire may open up opportunities for agency readers as well.

It also has been less than a year since WRKOUT hired Alejandra Martinez as marketing operations specialist in March.

This company provides live, personalized training sessions designed with health goals in mind. Since it made its debut relatively recently, neither iSpot nor Pathmatics yet reflects national ad spend, but I expect this to change as WRKOUT continues pursuing growth. It targets athletic consumers in search of two-way interaction with virtual training rather than options that only allow one-way interaction from trainer to client. Sellers able to get WRKOUT in front of those who want to, well, wrkout should get in touch.

Agency & martech readers - As I briefly mentioned, you also have a shot at work here since newly hired CMOs so often conduct agency reviews. Get in touch soon to remain top-of-mind, especially if your PR assistance can grow brand awareness in the US.
