Momvertising Opps Update: Frida Mom features the honest truth of parenting in new campaign
Update: World Famous, "Real Reviews" was designed to show how messy but joyful it is to have a baby. The campaign rolled out on Hulu and YouTube.
Sellers should get in touch sooner rather than later to offer high-ROI strategies among Gen-Z and millennial moms and moms-to-be. Parent (ha!) company FridaBaby hasn't utilized national TV commercials or the digital channels measured by Pathmatics since 2021, but it's obviously investing in Hulu and YouTube ads. It's also establishing sponsorship deals with organizations such as Sports Illustrated Swimsuit's "Pay With Change." Read more details about this sponsorship and Frida's 2021 spend in the article below.
Agency & martech readers - Contact soon to remain top-of-mind for potential project-based work, readers. We will let you know when we determine whether Frida is working with World Famous on a project-by-project or AOR basis since the latter could signal upcoming additional agency hires.
The article below was originally published on April 19:
Frida Mom recently scored the charter advertising position in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit's "Pay With Change" sponsorship model. This will help Frida Mom "disrupt the traditional narrative around women's bodies - especially those they feature who are mothers," per founder and CEO Chelsea Hirschhorn. The sponsorship is part of a longer-term initiative of SI Swimsuit to distance itself from what many see as roots that objectify and exploit the sexuality of women's bodies.
The announcement also comes not long after Frida Mom's Oscars ad was rejected by ABC.
According to FridaBaby hasn't invested in national TV commercials since allocating around $574.6k in 2021.
Pathmatics reports that FridaBaby similarly hasn't utilized digital ads since 2021 when it ended up spending roughly $38.8k.
Spend will hopefully pick back up as the brand starts advertising more. Frida Mom's products help women deal with less-than-glamorous pre- and post-pregnancy needs. Thus, sellers able to offer high-ROI strategies among Gen-Z and millennial women will likely have an advantage securing ad dollars.
Agency & martech readers - This company doesn't currently show major signs of imminent reviews, but you may have a shot at project-based work. Keep FridaBaby on your radar for the future.
