Experiential Opps: Visit Seattle launches pop-up rainstorms to prepare for the "cozy season" (Score 65)
C+C Seattle, the pop-up will also likely appear in other parched cities. The water isn't wasted; it's filtered at ground level and pumped back in through an overhead system. VS also teamed up with 23 Seattle hotels to promote the "cozy season" from September to December.
This campaign rolled out not long after notable leadership shifts. In May, Tammy Blount-Canavan joined VS as president and CEO. She previously served as the EVP and principal at Fired-Up! Culture.
According to iSpot, VS hasn't utilized national TV since allocating about $281 in Q1 2022. The organization had allocated about $322 in 2021 and did not utilize this channel in 2020. VS's 2022 commercials targeted Hispanic audiences of Haqeeqat and El encuentro de un hombre solo.
So far this year, Pathmatics reports the organization has spent roughly $105.4k on digital ads, down 30% from the roughly $149.7k spent by this point last year. In 2021, VS spent approximately $184.5k on this channel, almost double the approximately $100.1k spent in 2020. The organization has earned around 12.2m digital impressions YTD via Facebook (42%), desktop display (41%), mobile display (11%) and Instagram (6%) ads. Top site destinations for this year's desktop display ads have included seattletimes.com (60%), ksl.com, signupgenius.com, washingtonpost.com and nwsource.com.
VS will continue advertising for the upcoming "cozy season," so sellers should contact soon to offer high-ROI strategies targeting Gen-Z and millennials. It will likely invest in similar experiential initiatives in the future.
