Female Gen-X, Boomer Opps: Sanofi announces global media review after tapping new CDO (Score 68)
French pharmaceutical giant GSK on a coronavirus vaccine, put its global media account in review despite the ongoing global pandemic. This shift will likely replace incumbent North American media AOR since 2017, Havas; WPP's Mindshare handles the business in most of the rest of the world.
This shift comes shortly after Sanofi hired EVP and chief digital officer (CDO) Arnaud Robert (June 2020) and global digital customer experience head Anvita Karara (April 2020). Robert previously served as the CDO at Viking Cruises, and Karara came from Boehringer Ingelheim, where she was an associate digital and customer experience director. We expect the company to increase its focus on digital channels as a result of these appointments.
Sanofi reported 6.6% revenue growth in Q1 2020 and is "well-positioned to navigate" the coronavirus.
