Southeast Travel, Digital Opps: Kentucky Tourism launches campaign amid digital spend increases (Score 23)


assist KT's partners, communities and business that are struggling this year as Americans are not traveling due to coronavirus. It is targeting Kentuckians to remind them they do not have to leave the state for a vacation, as there are plenty of activities and sights to see within Kentucky. The campaign features a 15-second video ad that will be supported by across channels such as digital, print, broadcast and radio. 

According to Adbeat, out of the $4.8k KT spent on digital display ads since September 2018, it spent (79%) $3.8k in this channel after September 2019. It placed 77% of these ads site direct onto sites such as foodnetwork.com, gardenandgun.com and travelchannel.com. It placed 23% of these ads programmatically through Google Display Network onto sites such as smithsonianmag.com, blueridgeoutdoors.com, gardenandgun.com and foodnetwork.com. 

iSpot reports the organization has not placed a national TV ad since spending around $267.6k in 2018. 

Sellers--  According to a press release from KT, it is targeting Gen-X parents and millennial "adventure seekers." It increased digital display spend significantly over the last year, and seems to have ditched national TV ads to focus more on local marketing. Start reaching out to get your share of the campaign ad dollars; it will last through this year and into Q2 of 2021.
