After a relationship that has lasted just over two years,

The news of the split comes seven months after CMO Steve Fuller left LL Bean. While he doesn't have a direct replacement, per se, Chris McDonough joined LL Bean as its first chief brand officer last June (more MullenLowe MediaHub - has also been in place for over two years, so creative work could just be the beginning of what is up for grabs here. 

Sellers - if a new shop is chosen, be on the lookout for new campaigns. Keep in mind that LL Bean has greatly increased its TV and digital spend in the last year, so male sports and lifestyle-focused sellers should be reaching out to secure revenue here. Last year, Q4 received the most spend, so start there.

Spring 2016 Campaign: 

New Store Launch: Former CEO Chris McCormick previously announced plans to triple the number of stores to at least 100 by 2020. The push will include L.L. Bean's first West Coast presence with the opening of stores in the Pacific Northwest.

National TV Spend: For 2016, iSpot reports that LL Bean has spent $11.4 million on five national TV ads. While a few spots were run here and there through the first three quarters of the year, the bulk of this spend was deployed from late October through the end of the year (Q4). This is a massive jump from 2015's spend, which was only $272,000. See chart for 2016 show targeting.

This is up slightly from 2015's spend, which was $8.2 million (741.2 million impressions).
