Campaign Imminent: Jelmar names new AOR after hiring chief growth officer


Cleaning product maker MARC USA its marketing AOR, ending a 51-year relationship with incumbent Eicoff. MARC will handle all creative, digital, social, website work and media buying and planning. 

This shift comes just months after Jelmar hired chief growth officer Shari Matras to boost its next phase of growth. Matras brought extensive consumer marketing experience from companies such as PepsiCo, Kraft, Career Education Corporation, Recycled Paper Greetings, Wrigley, ConAgra Foods and McCain Foods. Additionally, in May, the company Espro.

Jelmar's spend typically spikes during Q4-Q1, so sellers with high ROI strategies among millennial women, especially moms, should reach out soon to secure ad revenue. The company tends to invest in broadcast, digital and radio media, per Kantar. Its total 2018 media spend dropped slightly to $5 million from that of $5.3 million in 2017.

According to iSpot, Jelmar's total 2018 TV spend of $507,313 went towards commercials targeting various millennial and Gen-X audiences (see targeting right). Total 2017 spend totaled $735,132.

Within the past two years, Adbeat reports that Jelmar has spent $14,000 on digital display ads placed primarily through Google (94%) onto site destinations including hometalk.com, shareably.net, thesweethome.com, thekitchn.com and instructables.com.

While overall spend, as you can see, is declining, we expect it to pick back up as the company continues pursuing growth, especially ahead of new product launches.
