Southeast Opps: SunTrust & BB&T launch first work for merged bank, Truist (Score 52)


StrawberryFrog, SunTrust's creative AOR since 2015, on a Super Bowl brand launch. More Truist brand support will roll out online, in branches and OOH advertising across Miami throughout the rest of February.

Truist is already building its marketing team, largely with former SunTrust and BB&T DMs. We will let you know when we are able to confirm their emails.

National ad spend isn't yet available for Truist, which launched in December 2019 (even though it will take a year or two to finalize), but feel free to view national TV and digital display ad spend approximations for SunTrust and BB&T, courtesy of here. Additionally, Kantar indicates that the companies utilize omnichannel marketing; Truist will likely do the same.

Agency & martech readers - Since the newly-merged company will likely need agency assistance, keep it on your radar for the future. It seems happy with StrawberryFrog on creative for now, so you'll likely have an easier time securing media duties. Your competition will include 2018.
