Campaign Imminent: Miami-Dade's Partnership to Improve Community Health taps media AOR

Subject: media buying, planning, radio, TV, OOH, out-of-home, social media, digital, radio, online

Company: Dade County.

Opportunity: After issuing a RFP this summer (more Sonshine Communications as AOR. Sonshine will serve as media AOR for the "Making Healthy Happen Miami!" campaign. PICH's focus is on tobacco- and smoke-free environments, healthy foods and beverages, physical activity and the like for the Miami-Dade area.

According to the RFP, media channels that will be utilized include (but are not limited to) TV, billboards, digital and social media, local radio, internet and streaming radio. Therefore, sellers in the Miami-Dade area should be looking for media revenue in multiple channels now. The RFP estimated the budget would be $857,596.82, subject to the availability of funds. Funding for the campaign is provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Per a press release, Sonshine and its partners, Republica and iHeartMedia, are among the preferred vendors for the campaign, but it doesn't hurt to reach out to get on the list for this and future campaigns.

Agency readers - as the contract is for just one year, there could be opportunity for local agencies to pick up work when the contract is up. Be sure, then, to put this on your calendar and start reaching out again in six months. .
