Gen-Z, Millennial Opps: Levi's top marketer leaves amid Covid-19 controversy (Score 57)

In 2021, iSpot reports the brand allocated roughly $10m toward national TV commercials, flat from the roughly $10m it allocated in 2020. Levi's 2021 commercials targeted male sports enthusiasts watching shows such as NFL Football, NBA Basketball, Inside the NBA, The Voice and College Football.

Per Pathmatics, Levi's spent approximately $13.2m on digital ads in 2021, down slightly (6%) the approximately $14m it spent in 2020. In 2021, the brand earned ~1.3b digital impressions via Instagram (36%), desktop video (29%), desktop display (15%), Facebook (10%), Twitter (5%), mobile display (3%) and mobile video (1%) ads. The majority of last year's desktop video ads were placed site direct onto youtube.com (72%), Hulu, espn.com and twitch.tv.

Right now, Levi's primarily targets Gen-Z and millennials with a male skew. According too Kantar data, the brand also invests in OOH and local broadcast. It holds planning conversations in Q2 and buying conversations in Q1. Sellers should get in touch if able to offer relevant ad space.
