The USO issues RFP for brand photo shoot

Due Date: January 24, 2024; questions due January 15

Scope of Work: For the people who serve. Since 1941, the USO — a private, nonprofit organization — has served the people of the U.S. military, and their families, throughout their time in uniform – from the moment they join, through their deployments and as they transition back to their communities.

This project aims to address critical challenges faced by the USO in effectively communicating its mission. Through this RFP, we seek to procure services that deliver authentic, diverse, and compelling visual content essential for rejuvenating our marketing and communication strategies. By outlining key objectives such as showcasing mission delivery activities, overcoming creative fatigue, and integrating partner needs, the RFP aims to source photography services that align with the strategic goal of Strengthening the USO's Brand Health. The purpose of this RFP is to invite proposals from qualified vendors capable of providing high-quality visual content that authentically portrays the USO's mission impact while adhering to DoD restrictions.

The successful bidder will possess the capability to orchestrate high-production-value photo shoots, encompassing the coordination and casting of on and off-camera talent such as actors, photography crews, directors, stylists (hair and makeup), wardrobe experts, and more. The bidder’s expertise should extend to scouting and securing appropriate shoot locations, including the acquisition of necessary permits, ensuring a seamless overall management and planning of the entire photo shoot process. Additionally, managing talent releases and essential paperwork will be a crucial aspect of their responsibilities. It is preferred that the vendor has expertise and a strong understanding of current military culture, enabling them to authentically capture and represent the essence of the USO's mission and audience.
