BFY Media Opps: Gimme Health Foods taps first CMO (Score 73)

Seaweed snack company Gimme Health Foods Inc. (GHF) welcomed its first CMO, Diego Norris, in December. In his most recent position as JUUL Labs's global product management and consumables VP, Norris spearheaded its consumables business, which reportedly accounts for 95% of revenue. In this role, his responsibilities included target consumer segment selection and prioritization. Before this, he served as marketing and innovation VP at Campbell, handling all brand management and marketing.

Additionally, GHF selected Jennifer Lo as its brand manager in May; Lo joined from Peet's Coffee, where she served as an associate marketing manager of its shopper marketing for a bit over a year.

His hire leads us to believe GHF is focusing more on marketing efforts. Neither iSpot, Adbeat, Pathmatics or Magellan report any national advertising spend, so the company likely utilizes localized ads and will hopefully expand into national advertising efforts under its new CMO. GHF's products are available in many retail distribution partners; find some in your area here. Since it has pages on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn, it will likely begin with paid social advertising. The company's products appeal to better-for-you (BFY) consumers.

Agency & martech readers - This hire could easily result in agency reviews, so reach out soon to see what work is available under GHF's new CMO. It currently has an in-house team but also outsources some work with an unspecified agency.
