I advise readers to keep an eye on this company because it looks like a great opportunity for both sellers and agency readers. 

Per iSpot, SS spent close to $1.9m on national TV ads YTD during programming such as "SportsCenter," "NCIS: Los Angeles," "College Basketball," "Law & Order" and "Undercover Boss." It started investing in national TV ads in Q4 of 2021 spending around $4.1m. 

Magellan reports SS placed around 225 podcast ads over the last 365 days. 

According to Pathmatics, SS earned 1b impressions YTD through Facebook ads (79%), Instagram ads (20%) and mobile display ads (1%). It placed the majority (99%) of these ads site direct onto sites such as facebook.com, instagram.com, pof.com, lotterypost.com and mediafire.com. It placed the remainder (1%) indirectly through Yahoo DSP onto site such as yahoo.com, news.yahoo.com, foodandwine.com, pch.com and accuweather.com. It spent approximately $8.9m on digital display ads YTD, a 22% increase from $6.6m spent in this channel during the same time period of 2021. Full-year spend skyrocketed from $8.6m in 2020 to $38.6m in 2021. 

Sellers-- SS primarily targets male millennial and Gen-X outdoor enthusiasts through digital display and national TV ads. The company really started ramping up national marketing spend in 2021 and it aired its first national TV ads. I would be surprised if SS did not continue increasing spend, especially since it just hired an AOR. Sellers should reach out to offer ad space so that you can score some of these extra ad dollars. 

Agency & martech readers-- As you know, PR appointments commonly precede additional agency hires. SS currently takes care of creative in-house, so you may have better luck picking up media or digital work.
