eCommerce Media Opps: Helen of Troy focuses on digital sales after best FY in its history

Helen of Troy (HT) reported its Housewares segment (which includes Hydro Flask and OXO) sales grew by 15% in Q4 2019, which ended February 29, 2020; the company attributed this increase largely to growth with established brick-and-mortar customers and online sales from new product launches. HT's consolidated net sales revenue for FY 2019 grew by 9.2% YOY to $1.71 billion. CEO Julien Mininberg called 2019 the "best year in HT's history by almost any measure."

In response to the global pandemic, the company is focusing on its online business; its Braun, Vicks, PUR and Honeywell products support customer health during this time of great need, and its OXO products offer convenience, comfort and solutions to families spending larger-than-ever amounts of time at home.

We expect spend will remain relatively low until the coronavirus dies down, but HT tends to target male millennial athletes via brands such as Hydro Flask and older demographics via brands such as Revlon.
