Male Gen-Z, Millennial Opps: D.C. United seeks top marketer (Score 48)


MLS club D.C. United (DCU) is in search of a marketing and brand strategy VP to handle responsibilities such as brand marketing, community, event entertainment, implementation and production. Since this new marketer will develop and lead campaigns, their hire will likely lead DCU's ad spend to rise. They will replace Harry Hardy, once DCU's marketing and events SVP, who was elevated this year to the role of business operations EVP.

Right now, neither iSpot nor Pathmatics reports brand-specific ad spend for DCU; however, this could easily change once it hires a marketing leaders. Right now, MLS is targeting male Gen-Z and millennials (Hispanic skew) via Facebook, digital display and TV. Its TV spend is on the rise, while its digital spend is dipping, which could also easily change under a new marketing DM.
