Campaign Imminent: Walt Disney concludes media review, creative next? (Score 81)

Update: Disney+, and its parks, which were previously handled by Carat. Omnicom, which formerly handled Disney work under its OMDE service, will lead media channels (which include ABC, FOX and Nat Geo) and studios (which include Marvel, Lucasfilm, Pixar, Walt Disney Studios and Walt Disney Animation) in the States. Disney has released five $1 billion films within the past year, setting a theatrical record. Horizon Media previously handled Disney's channels.

Disney+ platform, which will come bundled with Hulu and ESPN+ for $12.99/month. The service will also offer content from National Geographic, Marvel, Star Wars and Pixar. Disney plans to bump up its Disney+ marketing this Q4, both in traditional and non-traditional channels, ahead of the platform's launch on November 12.

Brad Wilson, previously the CMO at LendingTree, has joined Disney as the performance marketing EVP, a CMO role, for Disney+ and ESPN+. He will, according to president Michael Paull, pursue strong, data-driven marketing in order to fuel the platforms' growth.

In July, Disney hired Shubha Shukla, previously a Blizzard Entertainment marketing director, as the director of its streaming services' marketing strategy. These new DMs will likely review marketing strategies and agency relationships.
