NE Campaign Imminent: Urgent care CityMD hires marketing & digital agency, taps agency for campaign launch
MediaPost, they will be responsible for working with CityMD's internal team to develop an ROI-focused marketing strategy that includes offline and online media planning/buying, paid and organic content strategy, paid search management, SEO, social media and website development.
Also working with CityMD's in-house team is Reportedly, it will take CityMD past their "urgent care with kindness" tagline.
There is no word on when the new campaign will release, but it shouldn't take too long and you shouldn't dawdle getting on their radar. CityMD usually spends the most during Q3 and Q4, but they'll likely start spending evenly quarter-to-quarter given the nature of their business. They have a local demographic, so those around their locations will have the advantage.
Pathmatics reports a year-to-date (YTD) digital display spend of $600, which has been placed direct onto tapinto.net. While this seems like a small number, it is actually an increase from the nothing that was spent in the same timeframe of 2017. For all of 2017, the company spent $101,200 and 89% of that was placed direct onto youtube.com; other sites included forums.rivals.com, sparknotes.com, indiatimes.com and allrecipes.com. 2016's spend was only $6,100.
Also, keep an eye on out-of-home since that was mentioned as a channel in the upcoming campaign, and keep an eye on sponsorships since CityMD recently partnered with soccer team Tacoma Stars. There will likely be more of both channels in the future.
Agency & martech opps - CityMD has seen a lot of growth in the past few months (a $600 million acquisition of two smaller urgent care chains - STAT Health Urgent Care and First Med Immediate Medical Care), so there will likely be plenty of additional work to secure along these accounts, whether as an AOR or project-based. Keep reaching out.
