Simon Property Group appoints PR shop (Score 18)


FL, GA, MD, NC, SC, TN and VA. It will collaborate with Simon's marketing team on to build brand awareness and boost visitor traffic. I believe Luquire replaces incumbent PR shop Bandy Carroll Hellige Advertising & Public Relations.

According to Pathmatics, Simon earned 37.9m impressions YTD through Facebook ads (53%), desktop display ads (45%) and mobile display ads (2%). It placed the majority (56%) of these ads site direct onto sites such as facebook.com, elclasificado.com, pro-football-reference.com, merchantcircle.com and hypem.com. It placed the remainder (44%) indirectly through Criteo onto sites such as 1011now.com, 10news.com, 44news.wevv.com, 957thevibe.com and abcactionnews.com. It spent about $174.5k on digital display ads YTD, a significant increase from $65.3k spent in this channel during the same time period of 2021. Full-year spend dropped by 41% from $1.7m in 2020 to $1m in 2021. 

Sellers-- Simon most likely targets Gen-X and millennials with female skew. It focuses the majority of its ad dollars on digital channels. This year, the company placed a high percentage of its digital ads directly onto Facebook. It decreased spend in 2021, but it has been ramping spend back up so far this year. I predict it will continue increasing spend because it just partnered with a PR shop to help it build brand awareness. Simon also invests in OOH, print, radio and local broadcast TV ads, per Kantar. Sellers should get in touch to offer relevant ad space.
