Pet Parent Opps: Fuzzy launches new campaign amid spend increases


The Stable handled web work. The campaign includes social, search, direct mail, TV, linear and OTT. Fuzzy also rolled out billboards across San Francisco on June 20.

It also debuted a new website that provides 24/7 access to veterinarians, along with a product recommendation tool that people can turn into D2C care plans.

These initiatives were launched after Fuzzy landed a $44m Series C funding round in November 2021. Per Crunchbase, the company has raised $80.5m in funding so far.

According to iSpot, this campaign marks Fuzzy's first foray into national TV; since it launched, around $382.1k has targeted Gen-X watching shows such as The Vows We Keep, Naked and Afraid XL, Blud Bloods, The Golden Girls and Frasier.

So far this year, Pathmatics reports the company has allocated roughly $3.4m toward digital ads, 79% more than the roughly $1.9m allocated by this point last year. In 2021, Fuzzy ended up allocating roughly $12.1m toward this channel, more than 3x the roughly $3.9m allocated in 2020. The company has earned ~433.7m digital impressions YTD via Instagram (62%) and Facebook (38%) ads.

As you can tell, Fuzzy is targeting a wide audience ranging from Gen-Z through Gen-X pet parents. As I briefly mentioned, the company is also advertising locally in San Francisco via OOH.
